Con-Arch began its development in 1988 out of a concept to build arches with an inflatable banded reusable form.
Six years later, a company was formed named C. L. Ridgeway Construction Co. The Con-Arch trademark was created, establishing a proprietary arch system.
Over the course of several years many arch structures were constructed throughout the Southwest United States.
The structural adequacy of the Con-Arches system was verified by full-scale load testing conducted by the Highway Innovative Technology Evaluation Center (HITEC), a service center of the Civil Engineering Research Foundation (CERF).
A copy of HITEC's full Technical Evaluation Report is available by contacting Con-Arch.
In 2001 Hunter Contracting Co acquired all of the rights to Con-Arch and its proprietary system. Today, Con-Arch continues to expand its operations into new markets with exciting new products and applications.
